This summer has been a great one so far. We are settling nicely into our new home and just returned home from our first summer vacations! Nathan went with my parents, Elizabeth, Nana, Uncle Dave, Uncle Kyle and Aunt Becky to the Bahamas! He had a great time! He went snorkeling, shell diving AND ate all kinds of new foods, including duck! (Nathan refuses to taste anything new so this was HUGE progress for him). On their trip they all celebrated my Nana's 78th birthday (Although she'll have you know, it was really her 18th!) Jonny and I took an overnight road trip to L'auberge du Lac casino resort in Lake Charles LA. It was relaxing, the food was good, and our beginners luck in the casino allowed us to walk in with $25 and walk out with $65! We drove through Spring on the way home to see Jonny's mom and sister and spent the next day at Sea World in San Antonio. It was nice and VERY hard to return to work the following Monday. Nathan is back home safe and sound and we are planning a weekend trip to the beach with the family next weekend and a quick trip to Schlitterbahn in the near future before school starts back. This summer promises to have us all tan and fit before too long!
